Likelihood

Likelihood: A function of parameters measuring how probable a model makes the observed data while keeping observations fixed. It is not a probability distribution over parameters. Its logarithm is maximised in many estimation and probabilistic training problems. This perspective connects the definition with practical behaviour in artificial intelligence systems.
