Jailbreak

Jailbreak: A technique that bypasses a model’s behavioral restrictions to obtain normally refused responses. It exploits indirect wording, role-play, translation or conflicting instructions. Evaluation uses varied attacks and outcome checks because a banned-word list cannot cover the attack surface. Examples include Role-play to evade a policy, Instructions split across messages, Encoded prohibited content.
